what a great day

wow... the 2011 block party was a big success. thanks to all who helped out. it was so much fun to see our neighbors and spend the day together.

block party update

we are officially approved - the city just okayed the block party... less than 24 hours to go...
what a great system.

we are setting up:

-- a visit from the squad one firefighters
-- a bouncy ride for the kids
-- a huge BBQ
-- free coffee from cafe regular
-- a big potluck lunch
-- games for the kids including PINATAS!
-- and a whole lot more

stay tuned!

here's a block party update (sat sept 10th - we close off the block at about 8am)

--block party signs - they are going up today (thurs.)

--please be ready to move your car off the block friday night so we have room in the street.

--please post a note on this blog if you want to bring a dish for lunch or volunteer for kid activities or if you would like to help us organize this thing.

yes - it's that time again - the berkeley place block party is sat. sept 10th - let's do this.

--a city mix-up made this year's bash a last minute thing... that's the disclaimer i guess.

--we'll close the street at about 8am

--we'll need a gas grill for lunch time.

--we need 3 doz bagels and a few dozen donuts donated for breakfast -and- a few boxes of coffee... YES!
